    What times are you open?

    We are open Monday – Friday 10.00am - 3.00pm. We are open 52 weeks a year excluding Bank Holidays.
     

    What do I do about lunch?

    Due to Covid-19 our lunch facility is closed and you'll need to bring your own packed lunch until further notice.

    How do I pay to come to Briars Barn?

    Most people use Direct Payments but there are many different ways. We will send you an invoice to help with your accounts but a weekly payment arranged with the bank is the best way.

    What about my medication?

    If you need to take medication, we can keep it safe for you or you can keep it on you. If you do though, you need to make sure that other people can not take it. If you need help to take your medication, we can do this also. Please make sure your medication is labelled with your name, what it is, how many you need to take and when.

    Are there people trained to help me with seizures?

    Yes, there are always trained people to help you.

    Can I smoke?

    Yes, but only in the area safe to do so. This is the back garden. Please use the ashtrays and keep your smoking to rest periods.

    What if I need help in the toilet?

    We are all here to help. If you prefer male or female support, you can say.

    What transport service do you provide?

    Due to Covid-19 we are unable to provide transport until further notice.

    What if I feel unwell?

    We have qualified first aiders on site to take care of you. If you feel like you want to go home we can arrange this for you.

    Can I bring my mobile phone?

    Of course you can, we just ask you to have it on silent until the end of the day. You're more than welcome to use it at rest periods.

    Do I need to bring anything else with me?

    Its always good to have your own wellingtons for when going outside. In the summer, you'll need a sunhat and sun cream and when the weather is cold and wet, you'll need waterproofs, coat, hat, scarf and gloves to keep you dry and warm.
